Sorry I've been a bit silent during the last couple of days, but I have a really good excuse - we're in Šibenik on a short vacation and no matter how hard I tried to post and read your blogs regularly, I simply couldn't do it but I'll make it up to you, I promise.
If you've read my latest post then you're familiar with my ongoing love-hate relationship with Šibenik, my hometown. But no matter what, there are so many places in and around the city I love so much and this one I'm showing you today is one of them. Let's hit the beach!
The fortress you can see in the distance, Saint Nicholas, is my all time favourite one in Šibenik. It's situated in the sea and you can visit it by boat (if you have one) or the old school way - by foot. I've been there numerous times while I still lived here but during this vacation I didn't manage to catch enough of time to visit it again and shoot it for the blog which is something that makes me a bit sad beacause it's perfect, inside out and I definitely want to shoot it before someone tries to 'modernize' it and ruins it like they did with one of our other fortresses.
Queen Frida was with us all the time and it's safe to say that she enjoyed this little vacation the most.
This little raw paradise is located in Zablaće, a very short drive away from the city (Šibenik has only one town beach and I don't like it so you'll never see me mention it) and I love it because it's never crowded, there's always loads of natural shade, it's quiet, dogs are welcome (I mean, there's no particular sign that actually says that but then again this isn't your proper and posh beach), the view is perfect and the sea is crystal clear.
And if I had to choose, this day was my absolute favourite from our little Šibenik adventure.
Hope you've had a great week (what have you been up to?) and wishing you an even better weekend!
