I just started working on an intense and exciting new project, which means long hours are back on and days tend to fly by even faster than the usual fast. So yesterday afternoon, after being awake and crazy focused since 6.30 in the morning, I realised my head's gonna explode if I don't take my aching little body (from sitting in front of the computer) out for a walk.
I needed a short break from all the phone calls and various screens and above all - I needed my clothes to bring me back to life.
I decided to wear a bunch of old and oldish favourites while I go out to town to buy a Bruce Springsteen's autobiography that I can't wait to start reading and to unwind a bit from the hectic day.
Today I'm saying goodbye to this Stradivarius bag, because it's literally falling apart. It may not look like that in the pictures but the material is completely destroyed and yesterday when I got back home, I took one last good look at it and decided to throw it away.
There's always something incredibly sad about having to part from some of your favourite items that have served you more than well for years and years but you know what that situation also means? Yes, I'm on a hunt for a new bag and that's gonna be a fun ride.
A few days ago I bought pretty much the exact same sweater like this one at H&M as well, except it has longer sleeves and the colour is a bit different because this one (I got it two years ago, right after I moved to Rijeka) has been one of my Autumn / Winter favourites - it goes so well with everything, it's perfectly cosy and amazingly oversized.
And then there's this WGW dress my mum got me a few years ago, which is such an incredible piece and one of the reasons why I'm always looking forward to colder weather. Do I even have to mention anything about these Dr. Martens red boots?
They already have the undeniable legendary status in my life and even though every Autumn I tell myself - this year I'm not gonna buy new docs - by the end of October all I seem to crave are...well, docs. I guess it has absolutely everything to do with the looong history I have with the brand, I mean, I've been a loyal fan since elementary school so I guess that pretty much explains it all.
And before I end this post, let me just say one short thing:
You know how beyond awesome it is to open your closet every day and feel like wearing everything because that's how much you're loving all the pieces you've collected in there?
