Here's one thing about freelance life - when I'm not filming (a movie, series, web-series, promos etc), you'll find me somewhere shooting (places, people, various stories etc). Always on the road, always moving.
And when you hear that I'm in my hometown (Sibenik - in case you aren't familiar with the information), that 99% of the time means I'm sitting in front of my computer - editing, post-processing different materials - because I love how peaceful and quiet it is and I can work without any distractions or many tempting coffee invitations or even 'worse' - shopping!
While filming new episodes of 'GEOGRAPHY OF TENDERNESS' in Zagreb a few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I also worked on one other documentary film but also we shot three (3) different Airbnb apartments and during that time we stayed in each and every single one of them.
It was a freaking brilliant adventure, we worked like crazy the entire time we were there but I absolutely LOVED every second of those intense 10 days.
Located in MAKSIMIR area, first of three apartments made me realize how much I love my old neighborhood. The fact that we arrived just in time for beautiful spring weather, warm and sunny days, colorful trees and breathtaking blooming magnolias made everything even better.
There were long walks to McDonald's (God bless their Coke), pizza in bed, long coffee dates in my beloved caffe - Cookie, so much planning and writing down lists of things that needed to be done, arranging everything regarding 'Geography of Tenderness' filming, taking massive amount of pictures, actively hating HDR but still doing it because sometimes you can't escape it no matter what, one impulsive night drive to the centre because I was annoyingly hungry and a really cool lunch with my parents that deserves to be mentioned because it was pretty unexpected and super awesome.
I love shooting interiors because I love playing with space and all those little details I can find in an apartment I'm working on (but I always use some of my own personal items as props as well - laptops, notebooks, jewellery, clothes etc).
This is just a small portion of final photos I selected for the blog post and a few of them I added to my newly created PORTFOLIO website so you can check it out as well and let me know what you think about it. And if you need a photographer in your life, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always up for new and exciting adventures.
